HONOLULU – As part of the City’s plan to work with community organizations to revitalize Chinatown, A Better Chinatown Association (ABCA) will be restoring the Chinatown Gateway at the corner of N. King Street and River Street. “The Chinatown Gateway has been vandalized and neglected over the last several years. As part of the mission of ABCA, this is the first step to improve and to promote Chinatown” adds Eddie Flores, president of ABCA.
Work to remove the graffiti on the landmarks started last month. The group will begin to repair and repaint the Chinatown Gateway on October 16 at 8:30 AM by CAA Cabinets and Construction. For information on ABCA, please check our website honoluluchinatown.org or call Eddie Flores at 808-372-4498.
