noon Saturday at library courtyard, followed by unveiling of a commemorative plaque .
Exhibit viewing during normal library hours Monday through Saturday 9AM to 4 PM November 18 -30, thanksgiving week.
Public invited , Reception noon Saturday, November 23, 2024 State of Hawaii Main Library in the Capitol District. Parking at Iolani Palace.
The photographic exhibit is from the
Museum of SUN Yat-Sen in his birthplace of Zhongshan, China
Where 80% of Hawaii’s Chinese came from in the 19th and early 20th century.
Organized by Leigh -Wai Doo, Kamaaina former Honolulu Councilmember , founder of the Sun Yat-Sen Hawaii Foundation , as well as the Foundation for the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies , now DKI APCSS in Waikiki. Hosted by Hawaii’s not for profit Foundation for Islands of Harmony.
WHY Significant? education on:
1. Pioneering Hawaii’s role of building relationships, particularly between China and the United States historically, culturally, and timely.
2. Now is the worst time in the past 40 years of US -China relationships.
Collaboration is needed for peace.
This is the greatest time to remember that our Hawaii had an enormous influence on the creation of today’s modern China. Hawaii ‘s “overseas Chinese were the mother of China’s democratic revolution” and rocked the cradle said China’s President SUN who reportedly once used the alias “Mr. Aloha from Hawaii“.
3. Hawaii’s Individuals with dreams higher than heaven can make a huge difference as exemplified by Hawaii’s Sen Yet YOUNG, American, who was called “the Father of the China’s Air Force“ by President Sun in 1923.
Also individuals From Hawaii, hard-working immigrants first generation were the foundation of the first revolutionary party that eventually helped create modern China today by Hawaii’s people, Xing Zhong Hui in Honolulu November 23, 1894.
4. Peace now with prosperity is needed to prevent cataclysmic world climate change and the horror of potential war, hot war and Cold War, between China and our America.
5. The collaboration of Hometowns- Zhongshan with its sister city of Honolulu on their 27th anniversary – can through cultural and historical ties move America and China together peacefully.

夏威夷孫逸仙的「自由精神」青年，美國人被譽為1923年中國的革命空軍之父，加上夏威夷人民與孫逸仙先生在夏威夷創立中國民主革命黨130週年
🔸在哪裡？
夏威夷州公立圖書館（Hawaii State Main Library）位於檀香山市政廳（City Hall Honolulu）和伊奧拉尼宮（Iolani Palace）的停車場之間。
🔸什麼時候？
➖11月23日星期六中午，在圖書館庭院舉行紀念牌匾揭幕儀式。
➖11 月18日至30日（感恩節週）週一至週六上午9點至下午4點，可在圖書館正常開放時間內觀賞展覽。
➖公眾邀請，2024年11月23日星期六中午，招待會位於國會大廈區（Capitol District）的夏威夷州公立圖書館（State of Hawaii Main Library），請參觀的民眾停在伊奧拉尼宮停車場。
🔸誰？
為人民、為人民、為人民，邀請大眾！攝影展來自位於中國中山市孫逸仙出生地的孫逸仙博物館（Museum of SUN Yat-Sen），夏威夷80%的華人來自19世紀和20世紀初。
由前檀香山市議員卡馬伊納（Kamaaina）、夏威夷孫逸仙基金會（Sun Yat-Sen Hawaii Foundation）以及亞太安全研究基金會（現位於威基基的DKI APCSS）創始人杜利威（Leigh-Wai Doo）組織，由夏威夷非營利和諧群島基金會主辦。
🔸為什麼重要？
教育：
1）發揮夏威夷在建立關係方面的先鋒作用，特別是在歷史、文化和時代建立關係，特別是中美之間的關係。
2）現在是美中關係40年來最糟糕的時期。
和平需要合作。
3）夏威夷的夢想高於天堂的人可以做出巨大的改變，例如夏威夷的孫逸仙（Sen Yet Young），美國人，1923年孫主席被稱為「中國空軍之父」。
來自夏威夷的辛勤工作的第一代移民是第一個革命政黨的基礎，最終幫助夏威夷人民創建了今天的現代中國，即1894年11月23日在檀香山成立的興中會。
